About the Author
Jordan Grantis Harrington jumped into self-publishing head first. Writing in the niche market of natural health, he has sold 40,000 copies of his most popular title in an age when most self-published books sell an average of 50 to 150 copies each.
Jordan has worked with POD technology thru Lulu and CreateSpace since 2004, as well as with bulk printing thru the Whitehall Printing Company in Naples, Florida. He has spoken publicly, taught classes, done book-signings, and participated in niche market festivals and events, including the annual Raw Spirit Fest. He was employed by David Wolfe and Thor Bazler at Nature’s First Law (now Sunfood Nutrition), from 2004 to 2006.
His best-selling book is titled Raw Foods for Busy People by Jordan Maerin. It was endorsed in 2004 by Raymond Francis, M.Sc., author of Never Be Sick Again, and in 2007 by Victoria Boutenko, author of Raw Family. It is available online and from three specialty distributors - Nutri-Books, Integral Yoga Distribution, and Nelson’s Books. As of 2011, all distribution copies are being printed by CreateSpace.

Your brand...
A cleverly crafted pen name and publishing company name can contribute to your branding efforts if they’re memorable and provocative. Obviously, your own legal name can become associated with your brand, but you can also feel free to list a publishing company name in your book. You won’t need to legally register the company name unless you want to accept payments in that name. (Chapter 8)
Some authors use pen names to hide their identities while tackling controversial subjects or writing in multiple genres (i.e. creating multiple brands).
